Lost my pen

Tue Sep 8, 2009, 9:31 AM
  • Mood: Sorrow
  • Listening to: Eric Prydz - Pjanoo
  • Eating: Cinnamon Toast Crunch
Yea, the title doesn't seem too dramatic, but wait until I add in one important describing factor to that statement:

"I LOST MY FREAKING WACOM PEN"

It's like it vanished off the face of the earth, because I cleaned my room, like took everything off the floor and moved everything to look under and behind it...it's not there. So now I'm buying a new one, and I'm anxious for it to get here cause I'm really wanting to practice coloring with Corel Painter with paint and such.

But anyways...

I know most people don't even read this, but those of you that do should help me out. Like, help me improve, that way learning by trial and error will be a little easier. As when it's done by my lonesome I find it hard to find exactly where the errors are. I think I'm close to finding a style and perfecting it though...well maybe not perfecting it, but owning it, definitely.

But that's all I have to say for now.
Later.

Hey man, how is everything?
:iconsaint-awesome:
Brilliant, just got ODST the other day and have been playing near non-stop. I've been working on writing something soon maybe, but I've ben kinda busy. The need for a job around here between me and my friends became dire and I've been workin on that kind of.

You?

Really well, thanks. Been writing my best work ever, I actually got a DailyLitDeviation pick of the day for my poem "Mine Alone", so that was cool. There's like 250 views on it. Blew my mind.
Other than that,my kids are good, my band is going well. Work is dull, but oh well.

Sounds like you're havin' fun! Enjoy!

Congrats on the DLD man, nice work. Definitely deserved. But I've gotta ask you man, as a person I know over the internet, between my writing and my drawing, which should I pursue as a career? I mean, it's not easy to get into either, but I've just been thinkin...probably writing since it's what I'm able to do better naturally. And I hear if you can't learn something on your own, then you probably weren't meant to do it. No pressure, haha, just wondering.

Thanks for asking me, I'm kinda flattered. I've got to go with the writing. You have a good style and a nice way with dialog, nothing sounds forced or unnatural.
I've never heard that bout "learning it yourself..." but I would say that is true. I learned the drums myself, while I struggle at guitar(my brother teaches me).
I ask you ,though: Do you enjoy drawing? Or do you just really want to draw? "cuz if it's not a labor of love, forget it. At least, that's what I would do. If you enjoy it , keep at it.
But don't stop writing, I like to read your work! And I gotta believe writing is more open, career-wise.
Was any of that useful?

ps I still play my guitar, though, because I love songwriting.

Ha, forgot to say this 'cause I'm a dip and working on sleep deprivation, but thank ya kindly for the fave... and the comment! ;P
